Ohio high school football ratings- Oct. 8

COLUMBUS, OH. (WTAP)-- The Fort Frye Cadets have jumped up to first place in the latest Ohio Division VI Region 21 high school football rankings released Tuesday.

The Cadets are a perfect 6-0 after a decisive 42-0 victory over West Virginia Class A champion Wheeling Central last week.

The Belpre Golden Eagles are ranked 9th this week in the same region The Eagles are 4 and 2 on the season.

The Marietta Tigers are ranked 12th in Div. III Region 11 with a 3-3 record.

The Warren Warriors are rated 18th in the same region afer a win over Barnesville puts them at 4-2 for the season.

The Frontier Cougars are now ranked 6th in the Div. VII Region 27 ratings with a 5-1 record.

While the Waterford Wildcats are rated in 9th place in the same region with a record of 4-2

At the end of the season the top 8 teams in each region make the playoffs.
