PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP)- Ohio Valley University stand out goal keeper Carlos Rubio received an award for a big honor on Sunday.
Rubio was named a second team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches.
Rubio allowed just 11 goals in 23 in 2017 and led the nation with 14 shutouts.
He had an impressive 83.6 percent save percentage and 41.5 percent goal against average, both top-10 rankings.
Rubio paced the Fighting Scots to their best season in school history with a 17-2-4 record, Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles and the school's first trip to the NCAA tournament where the team made it to the Sweet 16.
