PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP)- Our honoree is Mikayla Alkire from Parkersburg Catholic High School.
Mikayla is a captain on the basketball and volleyball teams. She has earned Little Kanawha Conference honorable mention in both sports.
She has been an integral part in the Crusaderettes historic season. Mikayla was named the LKC's scholar athlete.
She has a 4.0 grade point average and is on pace to being the class valedictorian.
Mikayla will attend Marshall University to study nursing.
