PARKERSBURG, W.VA. (WTAP)

- One of the Mid Ohio Valley's most prolific scorers will be playing his college basketball close to home.

Parkersburg Catholic's Cade Ullman is headed to Marietta College to play for coach Jon VanderWal and his NCAA Division III powerhouse Pioneer basketball team.

He had a signing celebration Tuesday with family, friends and coaches on hand.

The Pioneers are getting a talented guard. This past season Cade became the Crusaders all time leading scorer in boys basketball

He played a big role in the Crusaders making it all the way to the championship round of the state tournament

In his final season with the Blue and White, Cade averaged just under 24 points a game and more than 2 steals a game.

His performance earned him captain's honors on the Class A all state basketball team.

Cade credits Crusaders coach Rob Strcula and his coaches for his development as a player, and he's looking forward to his opportunities at Marietta College.
