WV high school volleyball tournament

CHARLESTON, W.VA. (WTAP)- The West Virginia high school volleyball state tournament begins a 2 day run on Friday at the Charleston Civic Center.

The Mid Ohio Valley has four teams in the running for state championships

In Class AAA, the Parkersburg Big Reds will face Spring Valley in an opening round game Friday morning at 8:30 at the Charleston Civic Center

In Class A, the Wirt County Tigers are the number 1 seed. The 11 time state champions will face their first test Friday morning against Greater Beckley Christian

Parkersburg Catholic is also in the running for the title in the small school division. The second seeded Crusaders open up against East Hardy Friday afternoon at 1:30
.
The Ritchie County Rebels also looking to bring home the Class A crown. The fifth seeded Rebels will play Moorefield in the quarterfinals Friday morning

The semifinals are set for Friday evening, and champions in 3 classes will be crowned on Saturday
