PARKERSBURG, W.VA. (WTAP)-- The Parkersburg South Patriots have moved up in the latest West Virginia High School Football Ratings released on Tuesday.
The Patriots moved up 1 position from a week ago to second place , trailing only top ranked Cabell Midland
Coach Nathan Tanner's Patriots are a perfect 6-0 on the season following a road win at Huntington. The patriot have a bye week before returning to action on October 18th against Morgantown.
Martinsburg, Musselman and Spring Valley round out the top five.
Parkersbug High is coming off a bye week and is ranked 10th with a 3-2 record.
The Doddridge County Bulldogs have moved to the head of the class in the Class A ratings.
The Bulldogs take over the top spot from Pendleton on the strengthof a perfect 5-0 record
The Williamstown Yellowjackets are also on the rise They check in at number five this week. Coach Terry Smith's team is on a 5 game winning streak after an opening night loss.
The Ritchie County Rebels are in 6th place with with a 4-1 record.
Parkersburg Catholic has moved 4 slots in the rankings to number 11 . The Crusaders are 4-2 and are coming off a big road win over previously unbeaten Frontier.
The St. Marys Blue Devils are number 12 with a 3-2 record.
At the end of the season, the top 16 teams in each class make the playoffs.
