A combat veteran with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and his new service dog are officially a duo.
John Smith and Bella have been working together for three months and completed training on June 26.
Bella is now able to join the public. Smith suffers from PTSD after serving in Iraq from 2004 to 2005.
Bella is his service dog to help him battle severe anxiety.
"Working with Bella has been awesome," Smith said.
"She really gives me the confidence I need to go out in the public. I don't do too well in large crowds and she gives me that buffer from people and she's always by my side no matter what."
As a part of their training, Smith and Bella took a class. He learned commands to teach her and she was taught ways to handle his anxiety in different scenarios.
