PARKERSBURG, W.Va.(WTAP)-- The Parkersburg Police Department says 32-year-old Amos Payne is in custody.
He is a suspect in the alleged burglary gone bad in South Parkersburg.
Chief Joe Martin tells WTAP, detectives arrested Payne on Market Street in Parkersburg around 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
He is to be arraigned in Wood County Court Wednesday night on burglary and wanton endangerment charges.

The Parkersburg Police has obtained two felony warrants for 32-year-old Amos Payne for the shooting of William Dawson.
Authorities say it all started when Payne and two other men went to the victim's home on 11th Avenue Monday night.
The victim and his wife came home to find the three suspects inside. An altercation between the suspects and William Dawson ensued, with Dawson being shot in the leg.
Investigators are still working to identify the two other men that were at the home during this crime.

Police say Payne is considered dangerous.
The Parkersburg Police has obtained two felony warrants for Amos N. Payne, 32, of Parkersburg, for the shooting of William Dawson. Detectives were able to obtain a warrant for Burglary and a warrant for Wanton Endangerment on Payne as a result of the criminal investigation which started on 11/23/15.
Payne and two other males went to the victims home on 11th Avenue. The victim and his wife came home to find the three suspects inside their home. An altercation between the suspects and William Dawson ensued which resulted in Dawson being shot in the leg. The investigation continues to identify the two other males that were at the home during this crime.

Police are calling it an alleged burglary gone bad. Officials say it happened just before 11 Monday night at a home on 11th Avenue on the south side of Parkersburg.
Officials say William and Celeena Dawson were just getting home when they say there were three individuals in their home and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot William in his leg and took off.
Police say the alleged suspects got away with a TV and some cash.
Officials believe this is drug related and they do believe the suspects and the victims know each other.
No arrests have been made, but they do expect to make an arrest sometime soon.
"This was not a random act of violence at all. No way should the public be worried that a band of thugs out here that are creating havoc - that's not the case at all with this investigation. The parties involved are known to one another and we'll be able to put the pieces to this together fairly soon," says Chief Joe Martin, Parkersburg PD.
It's unknown what the motive is and it's still unclear as to what exactly went on inside the home.
Officials say a small child was present during the shooting.
The victim who was shot is recovering and has non-life threatening injuries.
Police are asking anyone with any information to call their department as they continue investigating.
