...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING... The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, southwest Virginia, and West Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In southeast Ohio, Gallia, Jackson OH, and Lawrence OH. In southwest Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson. In West Virginia, Boone, Cabell, Clay, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mingo, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest Raleigh, Putnam, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas, Southeast Raleigh, Wayne, and Wyoming.

* Through Sunday morning

* A storm system is expected to impact the region through the weekend. This system has the potential to produce 1.50 to 2.50 inches of rain. With the already saturated ground, most of this rain will flow into streams and creeks and eventually into the rivers, making flooding a good possibility.

* Possible flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas and roadways along streams, creeks and rivers.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
