Sheriff’s Office asks for help finding David Gibson

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE 1/30/24 7:01 P.M.

On January 29th, 2024, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputy D. Alltop attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Spark at Roth Road and Route 50 for reckless driving behaviors. The vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle continued on Roth Road, ultimately crashing at the end of Roth Road. The driver, identified as David A. Gibson, DOB (11/18/1993), ran. Felony warrants for Fleeing in a Vehicle with Reckless Disregard, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, and Receiving or Transferring Stolen Property were obtained for Gibson’s arrest. Gibson also has an active felony warrant from Monongalia County.

Gibson is described as a 6′2″ white male weighing approximately 186 pounds with green eyes. Gibson has numerous tattoos on his face and head. Gibson also has “Game Over” tattooed across his eyelids. The WCSO is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Gibson.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a person.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, the agency is looking for a white male who is believed to be in the 30 to 40 years old range.

This person was last seen in the Forest Hills Scenic Hills area of Route 50. The Sheriff’s Office says the person took off on foot after a short vehicle pursuit.

The post says the person is not identified but was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and long pants, possibly jeans or sweatpants.
