SAINT MARYS, W.Va. (WTAP) - Team West Virginia defeated Team Ohio 26-7 in the 31st Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis All Star Football game on Friday.

Brysen Dixon threw three touchdown passes for West Virginia, including two to Landon Thomas.

Team West Virginia took control early after Eli Cox intercepted Owen Riley on third and 17. On the first play after the turnover, Dixon connected with Thomas on a double pass for a touchdown, giving West Virginia a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Dixon found Reid Kisamore on a swing pass for a touchdown. The extra point was good, extending the lead to 14-0.

Dixon found Thomas again on a 26-yard diving catch in the end zone. The extra point failed, making the score 20-0 in the second quarter.

Team Ohio used the direct snap at the end of the first half. Davin Dickel carried for 46 yards on one run; but Team Ohio would fumble the snap to end the drive.

On the 3-yard line in the 2nd half, Dickel took a direct snap and scored Ohio’s first and only touchdown of the game.

Team West Virginia held on for the 26-7 victory.
